Haven't tried SUSE, but did try z/VM install via FTP from z/OS Unix filesystem. Couldn't get it to work - don't remember the exact issues. Ended up just installing an FTP server on my PC and installing from that. There are lots of free ones. Saved me a few steps and time in the long run. Just
