Hello
I`m looking for debian version for zSeries (64 bits), Is it available?
Where can I found it?
If not available, what kind of problems can I have if run 31bits version
using zvm 4.4 and a
z10 processor using CP not IFL.

Rogério, That's not correct. An general purpose processor is a superset
of an IFL and can successfully execute z/Linux.

No problem to run zLinux on a CP processor. IFL is preferable, not
mandatory...
Carlos, I see Debian (looks like the 31bit, s390 version) available at
Debian site: http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/5.0.6/s390/iso-cd/
Personally, I didn't install it, yet.

OK, I know about IFL advantages, but customer has 02 IFL processors for
new workloads to run RH under z/vm 5.4
without problem.
Strategy to run Debian with CP under z/vm 4.4 is to keep production
partition with all productions systems.
Main problem is will Debian 31 bits run in a z10 and 64

We have a prototype available of s390x Debian for our support customers.
Although with 4.4 on that hardware, there's not much point in a 64-bit version.
Debian doesn't care about CP or IFL processors.
