Looks like an error trying to read the RAMDISK FS, not with the DASD
you're writing to.
To be specific, look notice the "(device ram0)" and also that it says
"unable to read inode".
Makes me wonder if the installation media is partially clobbered. Or
is the guest too tight on memory?

Did 'you' format the DASD on this guest or was it perhaps already formatted
when it was on a bigger minidisk (and so wasn't re-formatted during
install)?
