No, I had not seen that bugzilla entry, but after reading it I defined a second CPU on my virtual machine, and the installation ran to completion. So thank you for that. However, my user now tells me that he's getting seg faults in yum, and that rpm simply doesn't work. I'm leaving for holiday

Hi, On pg 178 of http://public.dhe.ibm.com/software/dw/linux390/docu/les3dd03.pdf there is a section on using tcpdump or wireshark to do traces on the hypersocket . That said, As others have explained it is not likely an issue unless you are seeing huge amount of Tx errors as I understand it.
