You can move DB2 for VM and VSE (old version 7.5) to Linux machine running
under z/VM in same or other LPAR to a more modern version of DB2. More tools,
more facilities will be available to DB2 administrator.
Doing this, you will get back some mips used to run DB2 under z/VM and zVSE and

with Oracle running under z/VM 5.4 RSU 1003
and a z/10 BC model A00 (IFL Only).

Hi listners,
Just to tell that we get out 2105-F20 connected to z10 BC via FCP this
weekend via switch 2005-B16.
Seems that we have a problem with 2105-800 that we was trying to
connected earlier. We will check ESS800
to find what is wrong.

I did same connection some months ago (MP3000 + MAN + VM/ESA TCP/IP +
LINUX/390)
I had a similar problem, I can ping from PC to VM, from VM to PC, from
Linux/390 to
VM and from VM to Linux/390, but can´t ping from Linux/390 to PC and PC
to Linux/390
using VM TCPIP as gateway.
