We are puzzled about storage utilization with Linux guests running under VM
and would appreciate any clarification if possible.
We are running seven Linux guests each defined with 2G of storage along
with the normal VM service guests under z/VM 5.1 in an IFL on a z890 box.

Is there a way to monitor CPU usage for each Linux guest from VM?
We are running SUSE9 guests on z/VM 5.1 which is all new to us. We were having
performance problems with the Linux guests
so we added 8 GIG of memory for a total of 11 GIG on the IFL with one CPU and
each Linux gue
I have created the SA dump utility on tape but I must be doing something wrong
because when I try to IPL the tape I get unit check error.
Any ideas there?
