We have a local account with such a configuration. Once finding the proper
driver, it was not too hard to get the FICON/FCP CHPID access the SCSI
3590 tape drives.

You do not need an OS Config for Linux. You only need to change IOCP/IOCDS
as/if needed. The parmline file lists useable devices.

Has the IOCDS been updated for these new OSA adapters.
I did install 7.0 followed by 7.2 on an z800 in September and had no
problem with the OSA card.

before re-trying the pings but that did not help. After we toggled off/on
(on the HMC) the chpid for this port, the port became available to the
linux partition.
