I agree with you Jim. We have a similar setup/config on a z800 and
experience much the same with the WebSphere admin process. We generally
perform administrative functions during off hours for this reason. I've
increased the time between nodeagent synchronization attempts and have also

We've changed to running WAS as a non-root user also with no major issues.

Do you have any web application servers currently running or plan to run on
this machine?

their accounting information tracked and billed to the user/customer.
The accounting facility is a standard deliverable with VM. I don't

I'm interested in ideas on how to structure a billing/chargeback system for

Thanks Rich. I'm in the process of load testing several applications using

Rich,
Do you typically 'stack' applications on a single default server on
WebSphere or do you create multiple servers a a single virtual machine? If
both, which performs the best for you?
Thanks.

Hello,
I saw your post in one of the newsgroups re: a monitor for Linux. I'm
currently in the process of searching for a monitor that gathers cpu
statistics for our webservers that run in this environment. We are using
WebSphere 4.x and would like to be able to gather cpu statistics for
billing
