Do you mean something analogous to a printed report? That is, an app runs on
Linux that does some manipulation of DB2 data on that Linux, generates a report
and that report needs to get to z/OS to be included in z/OS processing?

SSH can be provided by several vendors. IBM provides it as a part of the z/OS
Ported Tools no charge add on product, the last I heard SSH/Tectia also
provides a z/OS version and I believe there are others.
I would begin by checking with your z/OS sysprog for a list of installed

David, we've been running Linux on Z for quite a while, since about 2003 or so.
Tech management read about the IFL processor for the z/800, IBM made them a
heck of a deal and we had someone step up and offer to support Linux and VM so
we were off and running.
