Virtual PC does not work on a G5, it doesn't contain little endian (I think
that's what's missing) emulation support which is critical to Virtual PC's
operation. Microsoft has not given any date when they will support a G5

Maybe you need the other one, the vmpoff=LOGOFF I added both when
I did not have time to find out which one to use, and my guests
logoff when I 'shutdown -h now' them.

We just upgrading our SuSE 2.2 system to 2.4.7, and are trying to get
the VMHALT ipl parameter to work, inside my zipl.conf I have the line:
parameters="DASD-200-201 root=dev/dasda1 noinitrd vmhalt=LOGOFF"
at linux IPL time, I see this line being redisplayed, however after I do
shutdown -h -t 1

What if it doesn't show the maintenance level? I received, applied and
built a new nucleus today, and after I ipled it still did not give me a
maintenance level when I issued the query vmlan command. I'm pretty sure
that is applied, I was able to find the symbol HCPLANML and display
storage, it sh
