Some distributions do not allow login to root using telnet. You should be able to 'su'
to superuser, though. If it's really necessary to login as root, use an emulator that
supports SSH. From my win2k system, I use 'putty' which can use either telnet or ssh
protocols.

Hi,
Looking for a reference book to teach myself about RH. The type of questions I have
are
Why can't I login as root?
Why can't I issue commands with rexecd?
