I'm having an interesting issue I'd like to get some opinions on. I'm working in an environment with SLES-8 (ServicePack 3+) using reiserfs for / and /var. It's running under z/VM 4.4 (RSU0403). If I shut down a Linux guest (using SIGNAL SHUTDOWN WITHIN 300 (inittab sets C-A-D to shutdown -h now
