We had the source for YaST pointing to the SP3 and not to the SLES9
s390x install CDs. Once we changed the source location to the

install CDs. Once we changed the source location to the install CDs
we were able to find the make and findutilis-locate and install.

We have SLES9-SP3 ( s390x ) installed.
rpm -qa | egrep "find|make" gives this :
