Re: stonith options - anyway to rexec to z/VM?
We use REXEC to VM. Yes
Is this documented somewhere? What device in stonith can
execute a z/VM rexx exec? is there an interface to 'cpint'?
REXEC is part of the VM TCPIP suite. It allows a rexec client to remotely
execute a command or program on the VM system. From Linux, it appears just
like a remote rexec server

If you look at the stonith device options, there is none that
says 'you can execute a command when you want to shoot the node'.
The listed devices do not include a command shell option.
There is an ssh option but the documentation does not
recommend it for production.
The question is not
In a HA cluster, I want to 'rexec' to z/VM to kill the faulty node. But
stonith does not seem to have any devices for this. I looked at all the
stonith devices. None of them seems to be suitable in z/VM environment.
The HA redbook talks about 'rexec'ing to z/vm to shutdown the faulty node.
We use REXEC to VM. Yes it is available.
