When your machine locked, what exactly happened? When mine locks, it locks for about 45 seconds, and seems like its locked pretty solid, but some stuff is still updating, this stuff i have found out is the stuff that is stored in ram and doesn't need to access the disk. Apparently, my scsi adapt
