I build a snapshot of the acpi.git tree (2.6.23, 21. Okt 07) and had a working backlight control on my FSC Esprimo V5505. With a build from mainline (of today) and also from acpi (also of today) the key's don't work any more. The Volume-up/down/mute (Fn-F4/F5), the s2ram button (Fn-F12) work.
