Hello,
I have a 2 node HA cluster and I am configuring the httpd service as
active-active. I want to run httpd service in both the cluster nodes
simultaneously. I have configured 2 failover domains FD1 and FD2.
FD1 = p6pv1(priority 1) & p7pv1(priority 2)
FD2 = p6pv1(priority 2) & p7pv1(priority 1)
Hello,
I am using RHEL5.2+RHCS and configured a 2 node cluster in XEN virtual
environment for testing purpose only. These 2 cluster nodes are 2
virtual guests (p6pv1, p7pv1) and each virtual guest is on different
hosts/ Dom-0s (p6 & p7). I have already gone through the older questions
on this foru
Quorum disk is required to avoid a spilt brain situation in red hat
cluster, of having cluster nodes more than 2. In a cluster, if
partitioning happens then the partition having the qdisk will run the
cluster.

I got an impression from your mail that you have not started qdiskd service.
If above is the case then, you have to explicitly start the qdiskd service in
all the cluster nodes after starting the cman/rgmanager service.
Don't expect cman/rgmanager to start the qdiskd service. Unless one will start
Hello KG,
All the below points asked about Rhel5 are same as Rhel4. In rhel5 cman,
ccsd and fenced services are all clubbed into a single service as cman.
Rgmanager is as it is. Rhel5 has a web based conga GUI tool (ricci/luci)
to configure a cluster beside system-config-cluster standalone tool
aying that instead of copying the AppUtil directory
post-install of the viperltoolkit, you simply changed the use line to
use VMware::VIRuntime;?

Hello Brian,
I had also faced the same problem. Just change the line no 45 in your

After changing this it worked fine for me and

U have to configure this in /etc/cluster/cluster.conf file.
If you are new to RHCS better to use system-config-cluster or conga to
configure the Redhat cluster.
Thanks,

Check your piranha version. I am using piranha-0.8.4-7 and it is working
fine for me. If you are using an older version, then download the
mentioned one and try. I think it will also work for u.
Thanks
