and /vmlinuz is there on my menu. I want to boot with /home/supreet/vmlinuz. Just type
c giving you command-line. do root=(hdx,y) x being disk id from 0 and y being
partition. then kernel

which is mini dist on disk. But better idea is to boot using cdrom and give argument
linux root=/dev/hdx# hdx# being your root partition.
then restart lilo. Better yet move on Lilo sucks for any power user try GRUB

Try mkbootdisk
mkbootdisk -d /dev/fd0
In my case kernel version is 2.2.14
For more help try man mkbootdisk.
It will format ur floppy too. But try it with a clean one.. maybe u can try
formatting it before by fdformat.
