Hi,
I am very new to the VDR project and I am woundering if VDR works with
5.1 digital sound? Is this recorded/played back as well?
Is digital sound also provided on pay-tv channels (e.g. Premiere World
Cinedom Deluxe).
Thanks,

Hello there,
I got an offer for a graphical LCD-display I would like to use for my VDR.
As I do not have www-access right now, maybe someone could have a look at
the specs and crosscheck with LCDProc.

LCDProc only supports character based displays, but no graphic displays.
I use LCDProc myself with a character based display

The frontend device supports the FE_READ_SIGNAL_STRENGTH,
FE_READ_SNR and FE_READ_BER ioctls to determine the

Nice but is that both ways or oneway ?
Currently, most of these services require a normal internet

Why does VDR overwrites the epg.data file on startup rather than
parsing its contents and working with it?
I have only one card and it's a hassel to scan all the channels

Well today I've tried to recompile the actual cvs (I saw changes in ac3dec
and hoped that this could be the pipe problem), but alsa-lib doesn't
compile anymore ... it looks like the API is constantly moving atm. I've
got a problem with the *.conf file too .. last time .. I'm not sure
