Hi. I've written few weeks ago asking for an explanation of a couple of
calls to the DVB API; probably everyone had to work hard (or perhaps too
many chocolate eggs around) so I try to ask again:
I'm using the FE_READ_SNR and FE_READ_SIGNAL_STRENGTH calls to the DVB
api. I can read the values
The following patch adds DVB support to alevt.
Compared to the previous version, it now uses
the demux API exclusively, without using dvr.
That means multiple alevt's decoding different
teletext streams can be started concurrently.

I turned sync off and i plays now.
After further analysis, i am absolutly sure, that they screwed the stream.

Some cards are reported to have subdevice ID's in their EEPROM with
wild values.
Patched 0.8.2 drivers (level >=8) rely on the onboard EEPROM stored ID's
to properly detect the card and will fail because of an unknown value.
For example, my card is a SkyStar 1 and contained subdevice 0x1002 an

Hi again...
First thanks for your quick answers.
I have to set up a server that records one channel 24/7. A user should
be able to download/record a show for example, that was running within
the last 24 hours (so t-24h has to be saved to hdd), so I need 2 DVB-C
Cards, one for recording permanently

Hi, I'd like to know if you think it's possible to estimate the actual
bitrate of a channel, and if yes, what do you think it's the best way to
calculate it...!
thank you

Hi,
since about a week ago, I've been having trouble with VDR restarting on certain
channels. Namely Sat.1, Kabel 1 and Pro 7. All those channels are at freq
12480.
Anyone can tell me what's going on?

Hi,
I just came a across a wired MPEG stream on an DVD. The pts of the video and
audio packets is jumping backward after approx. every 25th frame (at a cell
DVD boundary). The PTS is not reset to zero though.
This disturbs the playback over the dvb card totaly. My guess is that the A/V

I am working on an application that plays PCM audio over the DVB card.
My first question is: Does the DVB card support mono playback? For Stereo I
set the "channels" field of the LPCM header to "1". Trying other values here
doesn't seem to set the decoder to mono. This isn't a major proble
