My intention was not to answer Klaus' questions, but to comment his
mail, since he proposed that a missing CAM support of the driver could

think I have found the cause of the error message...
There does not seem to be a busy symbol in the structure video device
in the 2.4.19-pre6
Hello,
hope that my questions is ok here on theis mailing list ...

gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.4.19-pre6/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes
-Wno-trigraphs -O2 -
Hi Martin,
maybe my english is just too bad, but could it be possible that you didn't
answer any of the questions Klaus asked ???
Your answer sounds to me like it is from a politican. Much written but not

No, I don't. This is the kernel Yast2 decided to install. As far as I
remember, Yast always installs the -4GB-versions, at least on the machines I
have seen so far.

One of the most annoying things is that, AFAIK, all CAMs work just
fine under Windows. So whenever

Yesterday I installed Suse 8.0, with the 2.4.18-4GB-kernel.
I get the same errors as Andrew, the modules can't be loaded due to missing
