This device is well supported in kernel versions 2.6.16 and later.
You'll need the firmware, located at:
http://linuxtv.org/downloads/firmw
Unfortunately I am unable to continue working on the T750. I have given
the card to a windows user who can make some use of it.
If anyone else wants to work on it I am happy to pass on the information
I have collected.

Hi
From you /var/log/messages, you may need a firmware in its place.
Please go to the Documentation/dvb to find the get_dvb_firmware,
vi it and see which firmware do you need to download.
Download it and copy it to /lib/firmware,
Then you can enjoy your candy.
Best regards.

Dear all:
As we know, under Linux OS, USB devices and drivers are matched with four
different method:
USB_DEVICE_ID_MATCH_DEVICE;
USB_DEVICE_ID_MATCH_DEVICE_AND_VERSION;
USB_DEVICE_ID_MATCH_DEV_INFO;
USB_DEVICE_ID_MATCH_INT_INFO;

I am very happy you inquired. I had planned on using the device with
clear DVB-S2 transmissions on Echostar1. However, after your inquiry I
thought I might double check my facts.
In the end I discovered that although the streams are otherwise the
same as DVB-S2 HD streams in Europe, here they use
I wonder what you plan to do with that card in "western US" as there
are no -S2 transmissions.

I have decided to take the plunge and ordered one of these units. It
is being shipped via post from Germany to the Western USA so I expect
it will take some time. I will post again once it arrives.
If need be, I'd be perfectly willing to open the unit and read numbers
off of chips etc.

Hello,
I bought a lifeview TV Walker Swift SE.
Model LR538LR-U-R
I can see a Philips 8278AC1 inside.
It seems that I can load a driver, but then
when using "scan" utility it seems that no driver
is "bound" to /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
Could anyone help me?
If I can do anything to help anyone t
Yes, the card worked before in the older machine - and
I still can switch from the new to the old machine and
see it working again... (Just plugging the HD to the old
machine without rebuilding anything...)

had no DiSEqC issues, ie the issue was not reproduceable.

Hmm... and before I forget...
I can recover from the problem by removing and replugging the SAT cable
from
the card. An reboot however will not help, only power-off power-on. This
is
why I assume some DISEQC related...

Hi!
Nice to know that I am not the only one in the world having such issues
:-)
In the meantime I have done some logging to track the problem down.
Logging for DST.C is enabled via:
modprobe dst verbose=4
I have also enabled i2c debugging in the kernel.
Here are the relevant Parts of t
