Subject: [linux-dvb] NOVA-T 500 PCI power-off problem fix
Hi,
I noticed that on my motherboard (Abit iL-90 MV) using the latest (tested

I use the same Lirc files (albeit modified slightly to map the bottom
two rows to digital text) and it does work - irw shows the correct key
presses and mythtv can be controlled by remote - but only from
ridiculously close to the receiver (even with new batteries ;)) Makes me
think it's
I should clarify that the whole shutdown process is done, but then it hanged
with a black screen instead of powering off.

Mmmh... Last night my MythTV box didn't properly shutdown after finishing
its recording encoding tasks. I made sure I had left it unlocked through

I'm using the mt2131 reliably (paired with the s5h1409 demod) for ATSC
on a number of different boards, it's working fine for me. Which product
are you using and what's the demod on the board?
Have you tried a different product to see if you have environmental
problems?

This may be completely unrelated to DVB.
Check this bug:
hi all,
I work on an embedded device and I xwould like to integrate a Freecom
DVD-T TNT USB Stick (25451) card on my device.
The problem is that the USB driver on my device neither supports USB2.0
and Isochronous transfers.
I've seen that the Freecom dvb-t USB driver works with bulk and USB 1.1.

ok,
but I can't find any reseller for this device.
also, what is PID Filtering used to ?
I've seen in the Freecom source code that DVB_USB_ADAP_HAS_PID_FILTER is
used.
Does that mean that the device suport USB1.1 ?

If you set uselocks=1, ttpci_budget_debiread/write must not sleep,
i.e. you have to set nobusyloop=0. Does it work now?
Nevertheless I don't like busy looping with interrupts disabled.

Hello,
I'm willing to buy a DVB-s card. I have a dual DVB-t card (nova t-500) and
I'm quite happy being dual, therefore I'd like a dual DVB-s card.
I have done some research but I haven't found any information on
linuxtv.org, this mailing list or any linux related site. I haven't found

Yes you are right it might not be related to DVB, I read a lot of bug and
forum posts that reported power off problems and tried their solutions but
without success. At last I did a clean install and did shutdown tests at
each step to find the problem, and when upgraded to the latest DVB drivers

I did for the Mantis branch a working solution for mem and disk cases.
I haven't tested standby yet, but I think that it should be easy to
extend if it doesn't work yet.
I used linux/Documentation/power/*.txt while
trying to understand how to implement suspend/resume.
