Hi. How is the quality of drivers when integrated into the kernel?
Reading documentation and files inside DVB/driver directory, I noted the
makepatch script. It's not that smart but after a couple of tests, I got
the new menu under multimedia devices. As I can't actually use dvb cards

The OSD functions are not part of the official API but only a relic

Hi, I'm trying to display an image on the DVB card, I've read a thread
on the linux-dvb mailing list:
http://linuxtv.org/mailinglists/linux-dvb/2001/03-2001/msg00445.html
However, I only get a black screen...
I take my image, I resize it with 'display' to 352x288;
then I encode it with:

I always say to my pupils: if you're using cutpaste while you program,

It's written something but not the actual maximum and minimum values...
I've donwloaded the pdf file from linuxtv.org website.
Don't know the values by heart. I think it is 10^-6 db for SNR.
Hi, I'd like to know if you think it's possible to estimate the actual
bitrate of a channel, and if yes, what do you think it's the best way to
calculate it...!

this sentence is the key. why don't you ask Klaus and everybody to remove
DVD support from VDR and stop talking about this on the ml?
And keep the DVB and VDR list clean, please.
sure, I'll STOP, but don't say it's UNETHICAL.
