Dvbscan was not patched to work with the multiproto API.
That's why it is not working.
The Multiproto API is not com
hing ~30 minutes of TV, but I don't this that this
problem has something to do with the SkyStar HD, as the problems only
occoured after I replaced my nVidia video card with a ATI video card.
With the nVidia video card everything worked well with Windows...

Install your kernel to /usr/src/linux, compile it and install it.
Do NOT compile the DVB modules included in the kernel.
Then download the tree to a different directory eg. /usr/src/multiproto
or somewhere else like in your home directory.
The go to this directory and run make and make install.
other DVB-Applications support Multiproto?
How is the current status of it?

You need szap2 (http://dev.kewl.org/tmp/hvr4000/szap2.tgz) to tune DVB-S2
channels.
Here are the channels.conf entries for two german DVB-S2 channels:
ProSiebenHD:12722:h:0:22000:255:259:10200
