I tried to compile from mercurial last night (11/29/07) and got this error.
Anyone have any ideas?

About a month ago, I got a twinhan VisionPlus 1025 DVB-S card working in my
Linux box. I'm sure I wouldn't have figured it out without the help of this
list. At the suggestion of folks who helped me get the card working, I am
writing this little guide in hopes of helping others. This is proba
ere. I am not a
developer.
When I set up my system I was unable to find any data on the web for North
American satellites, except for a couple of EchoStars with encrypted data.
So I created my files by hand. I was hoping to save somebody a lot of work.

Sorry, but it came across for me as a bin file. That's also how it shows up
in the mailing list archive See it at:

I have compiled by hand, from LyngSat, scan data for most FTA satellites
visible in North America, and I would like it to be made available to
anyone that wants it. I have not included any subscription channels, or
NTSC. Many of these channels are on the air only rarely (feeds). Some are

Thanks to the gracious help of this list and especially Steven Toth, Manu
Abraham, Zoilo Gomez, and Nico Sabbi, I've been able to get quite a ways
toward linuxTV. Still no picture yet, but I believe it's due to a poor
signal. Heres what I get from szap, if anyone would like to chime in with

Since the most recent build of the v4l-dvb modules I have not been able to
rmmod dst without the -f (force) option. dst is removed with -f, but then I
am completely unable to rmmod dvb-bt8xx, even with -f. It returns:
ERROR: Removing 'dvb_bt8xx': Device or resource busy
but 'lsmod | grep dvb-b
I don't fully understand the real electrical/RF implications of circular
left/right vs linear horizontal/vertical other than to say that it's
related to how the signal is sent (polarised) from the satellite (it's
polarisation) and that you have to have a matching LNB of the same
polarisation.

Let me ask you this: Once you know the correct oscillator value (11.25) do
you adjust the freq. from lyngsat to get the number you give to dvbtune?
I've just been using the freq. number in the first column on the lyngsat
table.

Hi list,
I've been struggling with this for awhile now and I'm in need of some
insight. The problem seems to be that the front end is unable to tune to or
monitor a signal. Here is some background info:
Card:
Twinhan 1025 VisionPlus PCI DVB-S
Kernel/Dist:
2.6.17.8, Debian testing.
