my brand new Dvico dual 4 dvb-t is a new revision
in the windows driver the new hw id of card its called a dual5
has a dib7070pb chip
i can get the card to load but comes up with no frontend under dmesg (by
changeing the usb id file form db78 to db98)
anyway
to get the wife to talk to me again
years ago i had a sat installed
because of the wall they used a combiner/decoder with power pass
like these

so the power goes via the cable but not onto the fta side
put your amp power supply up in the roof after teh combiner

if i change the id in the usb id file the it finds it and loads
have chris pascoe intrested but he is very busy so could be a while before he
looks into it
the new card has a new hardware id last 2 digits is 98 not 78
am working with a mate who has a revision 1.1 card
if i change the v4l-dvb haidware id to mine
linux will pick it up and install the driver
id mine end in 98 yours in 78

it is not picked up by mythtv
in the usb driver id the card is ID 0fe9:db78 DVICO ID 0fe9:db78 DVICO
mine apperars as the same id exept on the ned not 78
so i changed the id to 98
linux picked it up as a dvico dd4 dvb card with
