Surely this can't be too much to ask? I'm looking for a DVB-T USB stick which I can buy now and is solidly supported, that's all. Previously i've picked up a couple of MSI Digivox II sticks that when delivered turned out to be unsupported MSI Digivox II V2.0 sticks, so it's no longer safe to order

I've recently bought a couple of MSI Mega Sky 580s (identified as MSI Mega Sky 55801) but I can't get them to scan or tune. I've pulled the latest version of the v4l-dvb repository, compiled and installed without any problems. On plugging the stick in I get the following (promising) dmesg output:

[linux-dvb] DVB-T, no data fron card on cold boot

On a cold boot everything appears to work fine, device is registered, everything is detected correctly, firmware loads etc, I can then tune the card using tzap, this also works fine. The problem manifests itself when I try to actually receive any data from the card using dvbtraffic / dvbdate /
