Hi all,

I am now working on a DVB-T set top box project and using TDA10046A +
TCL tuner (TD1316 compatible) as DVB-T frontend. The frontend driver is
ported from linux kernel 2.6.

When I use some software to scan the channel available in Sydney, I
found our frontend module performs very bad during scanning to 2
frequencies, and here are some brief results:

1) ABC   @ VHF 12 (226.500 MHz) - BER = 0, UNC = 0
2) Seven @ VHF 6  (177.500 MHz) - BER = 0, UNC = 0
3) Nine  @ VHF 8  (191.625 MHz) - BER ~0x6000, UNC = 0
4) Ten   @ VHF 11 (219.500 MHz) - BER = 0, UNC = 0
5) SBS   @ UHF 34 (571.500 MHz) - BER = 0, UNC = 0
6) D44   @ UHF 35 (578.500 MHz) - BER ~0x60000, UNC = 0

The BER of 2 frequencies reported from the test software is extremely
high (compared to the other frequencies). When I force to play the
content from these 2 frequencies, the video and audio has different
level of corruption. But when I move the system to another place, all
channels can be scanned with a BER = 0.

So I just suspect it may be due to the AGC of both the tuner (TCL) and
demod chip (TDA10046). But I just tried many combinations to test/check
the AGC configuration but no luck.

Could anybody shed some light on this issue for me?
