I've made a simple modification to the scan app that will check if the
frequency has already been used. It now gets three of the UK FTA DTT
multiplexes but not any of the others. There is still some repetition
but no endless loops.
My solution is far from ideal (it's essentially an array of
I had a similar problem scanning Craigkelly transmitter in Scotland,
presumably other repeater transmitters will show similar behaviour,
if you use -n when runnning scan you should get all the multiplexes.
This uses all the available frequency descriptors in the NIT.
Scan goes into a loop

IMHO scan is too clever for its own good. It does it the right way(tm)
but in practical terms not every transmitter is set up the right way.
Heck some transmitters don't even include the NIT.
The only safe approach is to try to scan

Hi,
I'm trying to use 'scan' to generate a channels.conf file for my local
digital terrestrial transmitter, for use with VDR.
I was wondering what I'm doing wrong?
You're not actually doing anything wrong - I'm guessing
