[linux-dvb] TT-1500 / TDA10046

I have had real problems getting the TT-1500 (DVB-T) working. I have been using dvbtune for some diagnostics. The following should yield BBC Multiplex on my local transmitter dvbtune -c 0 -qam 16 -gi 32 -cr 3_4 -bw 8 -tm 2 -f 722000 It does not, I tried adding 166Khz (722166) but no luck. So

What type of antenna you are using? My TT-1500 will not get good signal, if the antenna shorts the 5V feed for antenna amp from the cards antenna in -connector. On Tue, 20 Feb 2007 23:37:06 +, "Nicholas Fearnley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> said: > I have had real problems getting the TT-1500 (DVB-

I have removed the jumper on the card that provides the amp (there is only one jumper). But as to whether or not the antenna still shorts I'm not sure. Can I check with a multimeter? I read about turning off the amp (I2C 0x65) which means little to me! It's on the wiki. On 21 Feb 200

In the UK I'm pretty sure its QAM 16 / 3_4 for 4 multiplexes, and QAM 64 2_3 for two others, but I will triple check just in case. I normally use AUTO params but I have been told previously on this topic that the TT cards need the params and don't handle auto. I will try though and see. Th

You can check the antenna with ohm-meter, if it is near 0, then it would short the 5V supply. But if you disabled the 5V with jumper (checked it with voltmeter?) it would not make difference. On Wed, 21 Feb 2007 14:12:04 +, "Nicholas Fearnley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> said: > I have removed the

The Jumper is removed, there is 0 volts provided on the antenna input of the T-1500. The resistance of the antenna itself shows 3.3 Ohms which is quite low, but as the booster is removed this should be OK I think? On 21 Feb 2007, at 16:55, Jouni wrote: You can check the antenna with ohm

Yes, as there is no 5 volts, it should not affect antenna signal reception (with antenna without amp). So your problem is something else... Have you tested with w_scan: http://www.edafe.org/vdr/wscan.html It is sometimes easier to use, as it autoscans all frequencies, so it does not need any init

Great thank you for that link. I tried it, it only locks to two frequencies each time, not the ones I am used to tuning to here (Emley Moor). It is consistent. But no services found. Again - I know the antenna to be providing a good signal - the Nova-T tells me so. w_scan -a 0 -f t -

Hi Teemu, I have a T-1500S and a T-1500 T in the same unit (and a PVR-150) but I cannot get any joy from just using the T-1500T on it's own either - although I will try again this morning just to make sure. I will report. Nick On 22 Feb 2007, at 08:16, Teemu Suikki wrote: On Wed, 21 Feb

Nope, still no joy. Interesting that it does report a signal (although nothing on that signal) on the same frequencies each time, almost like the band is out?? I did see a post on this once. Also, tested the Nova-T on it's own (CX Chipset) and it locked to the expected frequencies first
