I have had that problem myself before. AFAIK it's not directly related to FAI but Ubuntu's installer. At the time I asked around on their IRC channel and was told to boot into liveboot and delete the partitions manually using some partition tool (e.g. gparted) and attempt the install after doin

Good hint but did not work. As I am using fai to install a minimum ubuntu and then install a oem ubuntu version with preseed I have added umount /dev/sda1 in a early command to get it working. Is it possible that fai install does not unmout partitions or something else? thanks guy Op zaterdag

Installer fai: debian jessie with latest fai. First install ubuntu 15.04 minimal, than reboot in a ubuntu 15.04 iso (toram) in oem mode with a preseed file. umount /dev/sda1 continues the installer, but now get apt-cdrom error and system hangs on shutdown-reboot on a stop job of some /dev/uid. St
