That actually is the command I ran - I'm not sure how I managed to
lose the "dirinstall" command. I must have

Thank you for the response. The dirinstall option sounds promising, but I
can't seem to get it to work. I'm on a VM which I've configured by
following the instructions in the "Setup your faiserver" section of the FAI
Guide:

I've recently started learning how to use FAI. I would like to experiment
with FAI using Docker containers in order to facilitate the learning
process as well as for prototyping.
I'm able to install the FAI server in a Docker container without any
problems. Unfortunately I don't
