what could be the reason that no lo networkdevice is created.
help would be apriciated

the cracy thing is that after the first start (after fai setup) the lo device
exists
aftet rebooting the lo is missing

you are right after removing networkmanager no networkdevices where aval.
no eth0 and lo

90% of the fai systems will be laptops so i am bound to the networkmanager for
the field staff "airport hotspot, City Wlan, ..."
udev has not setup the network
there is someting really wrong.

i have found the reason fot this errors.
for some resons the bootstrap image is extracted to the root device and after
that the other partitions are mounted
so bootstrap -> /target
mount var partition -> /target/var
but befor mount there were already some files in /target/var
