yes this file is filled properly # generated by FAI auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp the cracy thing is that after the first start (after fai setup) the lo device exists aftet rebooting the lo is missing i am using this hack http://www.uni-koeln.de/bin2/maillist/lin

i have found the reason fot this errors. for some resons the bootstrap image is extracted to the root device and after that the other partitions are mounted so bootstrap -> /target mount var partition -> /target/var but befor mount there were already some files in /target/var my solution was re
