Hello,
I try to install a client with lenny release from a fai server with etch
release. My fai server version is 3.1.8.
I changed only the release parameter in '/etc/fai/make-fai-nfsroot.conf' and
'/etc/fai/apt/sources.list' (from 'etch' to 'lenny').
It doesn't going. The
I was going down a similar road...and was pointed to the multi-distro
information...I did not end up needing to, as my server, client, etc
are all lennyput I can say this much - no, they do not have to be
the same, and i think the thing you will have to look into is creating
the proper base.tgz
