Hi @ll,
I've a test setup with linux-HA here which causes some trouble since yesterday.
Everytime I start the hb_gui to check for the state and switch packets, the gui
freezes after connecting to it.
It only occurs on one side so i'm pretty sure the cluster works fine
(crm_verify does say so).

You mean haclient? Normally, you should use the hacluster to

hb_gui goes into its unresponsive state.
The log file is filled with errors from lrmd just as Bret showed. I
can send that along too, if it would help.

The GUI included in the heartbeat-gui package (heartbeat-gui-2.1.2-3.el5.centos)
does work. I primarily use it for a quick visual

There are still a number of things only possible with the command line

Whenever this happens, I can't get the heartbeat service to restart.
Something (I believe it was mgmtd last time) won't quit without a
`kill -9`. I find the easiest solution to force a reboot and let it
start over. When it comes back up, it functions properly again.
