Ariel/Thomas and the group, I tested the soundmodems (kernel 2.2.5, I believe) a time ago. The 1200,4800 and 9600 modems did function with some local bbs's and stations on my ft-847, so I guess it should talk to other modems (it did connect to my HAPN connected to a TM702E). Performance was not

The netrom demon netromd made with Craig Smalls original package does not work. To test if you have the problem netromd just turn it on and if you get a lot of /proc/net/nr_nodes you have the old netromd that runs fine with kernel 2.2.5 so from what you said yours is working. Net
