It's nice that you provide these libs/apps, and also nice that you

No, certainly not, if so it would choke on an xf* program (actually
the makefile will simply not compile these if it doesn't find
xforms).
Must be some kind of kernel header/glibc issue.

If you're working on ax25ipd, a nice feature would be the following:
I find it silly that if you want to use ax25ipd with kernel ax25,
you manually have to find a free tty/pty pair, start kissattach
on the master side, put the client side into the ax25ipd config
file, and then start ax25ipd.

No. I have made a patch against 2.2.13. This patch has been sent to Alan Cox to

I'd like to see Bob's versions (particularly of call) go into the standard
packages. His call allows you to set the source callsign, which is important
for use with CLX scripts.

Hi Chuck,
It is all fairly easy to get going. Conpile your kernel with AX25 support as
per the howto. I then created a simple shell script to setup the interfaces

to create the ax0 device.

Do you want me to split-out the ax25ipd stuff out of ax25-tools?
Craig,
I think it's a good idea to split it out. It's something that is
required by a comparatively small group of users and has no dependence
on libax25 at all, ie it's completely standalone.
