Rss in mm_struct

Title: Message Hi all   The rss field in the mm_struct indicated on the real memory resident size but this field is defined also in the mm_stat struct (that is defined in mm_struct).   what is the different between this two field  (there value are different).

I promised to let the list know how I solved the problem (in case it's ever of some use to someone). After a lot of trial and error, I discovered that /usr/X11R6/lib/modules was an empty directory. I checked on my other installation and found that it should contain hundreds of files. I have no
