Hi all,
I know some of you here are maintainers for free software. Cetril is
holding another round of its "Trophées du Logiciel Libre" (Free Software
Trophies). I participated in this competition last year, and I can
whole-heartedly recommend the experience.

I recently bought the Logitech QuickCam Notebook Deluxe, which works
fine on Ubuntu 7.10 with Skype. There is one known problem (split

I'm using the (somewhat pricey) Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX and it
works just fine. (gspca driver)

Hi All,
On Haifux's meeting break (when things happen) today we have mentioned Lego
Mindstorm as a cool topic for a lecture, if only it was open source.
However, it seems that Lego going open source on its firmware is old news
(2006):

To tell the truth, as someone who is following the linux hardware
support, I can tell you that I didn't see lately any cam from the
major player (Microsoft, Logitech, Creative, Philips) that is not
supported. Some are supported only partially and some (specially
Logitech) are fully supported.

Does the problem repeats when you're using the "
I tested it only with 'nv' - never installed 'nvidia' in my PC.

Well, I think you didn't install it due it closeness, if I'm right...
My suggestion would be to install the closed driver and see if this
problem returns. If it's not, then you should file in a bug with the
X.org. If the problem still there, then it could be either the card or
the camera's driver.
I don't have gspca for my current kernel (2.6.24-etchnhalf.1-686) and
the gspca-source package didn't compile for it (there are Debian bugs
filed for it).
My story with gspca and the above video card is filed as bugs with
Debian:
