Is there a way to use a simulator on a computer in order to sms or chat
using viber? Can I clone my cell phone's environment for that purpose?
The goal is to be able to keep in touch even if I do not have the cell
phone or the service, using a linux laptop.

models of Apple's iPhone - without a SIM (chip) in the US for the best
