I'm having a very weird problem with my adsl line
and debian linux.
I cannot download more than 30k/sec in one
download... 33k/sec to be percise.
If i open another session of download, i can have
another 33k/sec from the same site/FTP or whatever. i don't understand this. I

I'm currently on an ADSL line connected with bezeq int.
I run a linux and a windows computer at home.
is there any prooved difference concerning speed between Linux and win9x
with ADSL?
I'm really not satisfied with the speeds i get now on windows and adsl
(sites abroad give me 20k/sec a
Bezeq Int. gives one Perm IP for $15 per month.. not that expensive

As far as I remember, you can't assign a DynIP adrress to E-mail since it
doesn't have an MX record. hence, Sendmail cant accept it as a valid
hostname.

When i use 640, it disconnects me after a while and when it doesnt i get
a poor connection
Use 725 instead. You'll probably see an improvment

This is sure not bezeqint problem since i downloaded the kernel from the
same location 20 minutes ago at the average rate of 7.97kbps.
I'm using a passive card as well (Teles 16.3 pnp)

I have a static IP and i asked my ISP to reverse DNS it for me.
Now, when i /dns my ip it resolves to the domain but others see only my IP.
not the domain! it's like,
