You probably didn't set your processor type as well. change it under
'Processor type and features'

im running rh 6.2 with kernel 2.2.18.
After i finish the copilation of 2.4.0 seting the LILO, etc..etc..i cant boot from this kernel, i get a message - UNCOMPRESSING LINUX.OK, BOOTING THE KERNEL,
than its stuck, nothing moves at all.
anyone with an idea ???

Did anyone manage to cause a 2.4.0 or a 2.2.X kernel to work with
SMP on a Compaq DL380 ?
I've managed to compile the 2.4.0 kernel successfuly, with a reiserfs
patch, and RAID1/5 hardware, and they work wonderfull. But, I can't seem
to turn the SMP on, although the kernel was compi
