Just as a side note: I had problems with Hebrew under Ubuntu. My documents contained the font Arial which is not found on my system. On OOo1 fontconfig changed the onscreen (and printed I think) font to Nachlieli, and I was able to see the document on my box. However on OO2, I see squares.
