Permissions were wrong in the RH 7.0 rpm, IIRC.
ls -ld /
ls -ld /var
ls -ld /var/lib
ls -ld /va

I was just trying to mysql on RHL 7.0 but at the prompt when I run
# mysql
I get the following message :
Can't connect to local MySql server through socket
'/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)
and aborts.
Can someone point as to where can I be wrong.
