I can try to write down some more oopsen if anyone is interested ...
On the other side, 2.2.19 with new aic driver 6.1.10 is working just
nice ...

fter test10 had some problem;
test10 works just beautifully, way faster than 2.4.x releases (especialy
noticeable on old pentiums with <64mb ram).

t were crashing have noticeably warmer
cpu heatsinks that those which dont crash, yet all fans were spinning as
they should. So could this be something in the kernel? There are
absolutely no mesgs ni logs indicating that something is wrong...
All suggestions welcome.

After more-than-expected amount of hours spent on this, i managed to
localize the problem and found a partial solution.
I ran a series of test with thttpd compiled on rh6 and rh7 serving a
couple of files on different kernels. In the first run i used 6 average

I can't manage to reproduce the problem on my home box, based on redhat7
... thttpd runs ok on 2.2.18 with raid patch, 2.2.18-cdhs
(www.linuxraid.org) and 2.2.19pre3aa4 ... I tought it might be some
compiler/glibc problem, but even if i get a kernel and a statically
compiled thttpd

www.linuxraid.org and ide patch 2.2.18.1221, but i first spotted this
