I have seen the same here, once with ac13 and twice with ac15 so far.
Completely standard hardware, PIII, 440BX motherboard, esssolo1.

I tend to get these after a few days uptime. This one locked X
hard, ping and ssh over net etc still worked ok.
Pretty standard x86 PC hardware.
