I would like to see the whole disk area and erase the
hpa area in my desktop.
At first I tried "setmax.c" program but it didn't work
on SATA at least.
So I upgraeded it to FC7 and added "libata
ignore_hpa=1" option on boot command and
/etc/modprobe.conf.

While compiling kernel on FC7, kernel-2.6.16 with LZMA
compression utilily, we got the following compile
error message. I already applied two
pathes,lzma-init-2.6.16.patch5 ,
lzma-vmlinuz-2.6.16.patch5.
And during compressing vmlinuz, I meet an error like

I tried this SETMAX.C program in order to delete HPA
area.
But some commands failed cause of "No such file or
directory" or "Input/output error" even though kernel
detect HPA and the whole disk information.
I am using SATA drive, 250GB with Fedora 7.
Could you please give me more information

According to Kyle's recommendation,

we tested ignore_hpa option after upgrading to
kernel-2.6.20.10.
But it didn't work as the following messages.
In fdisk output, it can't show us the whole disk size.
