I just noticed that there is still something wrong with dosemu's handling
of modems. I am using 1.1.5.5 and i'm haing a hard time using it at the
same time vgetty is running. My modem was able to do this before, with
the 1.1.4 versions. In the vgetty log it reports the error as a dialout
I just tried to build 1.1.5.5 on redhat 9 and it wouldn't go. 1.1.5
does with no problem. Here's the output:

i'm trying to build dosemu from source and i'm having some trouble. When
I try to edit the compiletime.settings to change the prefix and some other
things, they dont work. Also when I do try and change things around
enough to get it going, dosemu.bin will only work when I run it from mc,
it's likely just that, i've noticed some other little bugs like that too.
One for example is that you need to type the full filename with the exe
extention in dosemu to run it. I have MS-DOS now anyways.

you know what would be neat, is if dosemu could access tcp/ip from linux
to use, that's if it's possible to really do it that way. Imagine using
telnet through a comm program and having STDOUT piping to dosemu and thus
