I did it: some messages came up, like
- /file /sbin/depmod from install of modutils-2.4.6-1 conflicts with package
from modules-2.3.9-37 and the upgrade stoped
I presume that I could first uninstall modules-2.3.9-37 and then install
2.4.6, but would this evtl. damage my existing system ? do I need to
recompilate after this my old kernel 2.2.18 again ?
I think better I ask once more before starting the experiment ;-)
